A new IMO Trust Fund has been launched to help improve navigational safety in the Straits of Malacca and Singapore. To kickstart the fund Greece, a key user of the Straits, have contributed an initial $1m.rnThe three littoral states, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia have agreed a Joint Technical Agreement (JTA) with the International Maritime Organization (IMO) to institutionalize the Fund.
