摘要

Nanosized Na_(0.5)Bi_(0.5)TiO_3 powder of particle size of about 45 85 nm was prepared by a sol - gel method. Photoluminescence measurement showed that there was a blue shift from 440.2 to 445.3 nm in the principal emission peak of the nanosized powder with decreasing particle size, while the intensity of the emission increased. A self-trapped excitation might be responsible for the visible emission band observed, and this blue shift in the principal emission peak could be ascribed to distortion of TiO_6 octahedra (due to the surface stress of Na_(0.5)Bi_(0.5)TiO_3 crystallite) and the dielectric confinement effect.
