摘要

The energy eigenvalues, the linear and nonlinear dielectric function have been numerically investigated for GaN/Al_xGa_(1-x)N core/shell quantum dots by solving the Schrodinger equation under the effective mass approximation and compact density matrix approach. We have analyzed the effect of core and shell radii on the energies and the dielectric function. Obtained results revealed that by increasing radii the dielectric function shifts to lower frequencies. It is also indicated that by increasing the value of the quantum dots density, the peaks of the dielectric function are redshifted and the intensities increase as function of the pump photon energy.
