摘要

In this paper, a mechanical behavior model for concrete undergoing Alkali-Silica Reaction (ASR) expansions is presented. The relation between evolution of expansions and external pressure is specifically taken into account in the model, including a procedure to calculate inhibition pressure (defined as the com-pressive stress threshold beyond which no expansion can take place) from experimental data. Creep is represented by means of an eight element ageing Maxwell chain based on the shape proposed in the B3 model. An application of the model is provided for a case study using experimental data. Verification of the model is performed against data from the same batch of tests different from those used for calibration.
