The Roulier-Rando fairness metrics attempt to quantify the difference between a surface and a perfectly fair shape, e.g. sphere, cylinder, plane, that the surface should locally resemble. In this paper, the Roulier-Rando metrics are firstly expressed for arbitrarily parameterized surfaces. Next, the authors' numerical experience with an implementation of the metrics is presented and illustrated by means of one example of academic and one example of industrial interest.
