摘要

The influence of diffusion on the competition between bacteria and innate immune system of invertebrate animals is described by means of a system of two nonlinear reaction-diffusion equations, with constant coefficients. The existence of absorbing sets, corresponding to the coexistence of the two competing populations, is proven. The linear and non-linear stability properties of the solutions are analysed as well as the stability switches due to the diffusion.
