For the ITMF annual market study in 2016, all Chinese manufacturers and 28 other weaving machine producers took part. India with 7 companies, and Japan with 6 companies, were the most represented among these. In 2016, worldwide shipments of shuttle-less weaving machines increased by 4% to near- ly 84,700 units. Thereby, shipments of air-jet and water-jet shuttle-less weaving machines increased by 15% to 22,900 units and by 6% to 31,800 units, respectively.
