The manufacturer of components made from high-performance ceramics, CeramTec GmbH, Plochingen/Germany, presents a new ceramic material, IMA87, that features an innovative surface structure and very good physical properties. The material is used in melt spinning in the textile industry. Oil applicator guides made from IMA87 meet the highest demands with regard to abrasion and yarn quality. The oil applicator guide is a decisive component in the melt spinning process subject to extreme wear that features a material specifically designed for this process to increase wear resistance and thus lifetime while also providing a yarn-friendly surface finish that enhances the quality of the yarn. The new oil applicator guide's special finish ensures a low-friction surface quality to protect the yarn and protect the quality of the textile.
