The Italian company Obem SpA, Biella, produces textile machinery mainly for steam treatments and for dyeing fiber, yarns or fabrics in various ways. In 1986 the company installed their first fully robotized package dyeing plant in the USA and, from that time, robotization was developed for all kinds of machines the company produces. The robotized plants can work with a very limited number of operators like 1 or 2 per shift, have been developed for wool, cotton, acrylics, polyester, viscose, and all blends of these fibers.
