For decades, there was technical limitation in manufacturing merino wool: on the one hand, the colors often appearing dull and on the other hand, a yellowish off-white color. For the first time, the spinning and dyeing company Schoeller GmbH & Co KG, Bregenz/ Austria, together with the wool producer The Merino Company (TMC), Melbourne/ Australia, were able to provide merino wool in a unique premium white. The objectively measurable values prove a level of whiteness improved by up to 50% (Berger scale). With the Enciel yarns by Schoeller a most brilliant color spectrum is also available.
