An Indiana fabrication shop operates a laser cutting cell that produces parts non-stop, 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Everybody knows there is no such thing as a free lunch. But a new, automated, laser-cutting system for sheet metal is rapidly becoming this midwest fabricating shop's bread and butter. Since it opened its doors 14 years ago, Wiley Metal Fabricating, Inc., a sheet metal fabricating shop in Marion, IN, has been primarily a punch and shear operation. It operates three shears and four turret presses.
