摘要

An analysis of the relation existing between Armed Forces and society. A relation that in the past was compulsory, based on ethics, sense of duty, affectivity, i.e. conscription. A relation that today is based on specialization and rationality, i.e. on voluntary recruitment. Only an active and constant presence of the Armed Forces on the national territory can give to civil society the consciousness of the institutionaffunction that they accomplish.%Un'analisi della relazione esistente tra Forze Armate e società, una relazione che nel passato era di tipo obbligatorio, basata sull'etica, sul senso del dovere, sull'affettività, cioè la Leva; una relazione, oggi, basata sulla specializzazione, sulla razionalità, cioè il reclutamento volontario. Solo l'attiva e costante presenza delle Forze Armate sul territorio nazionale può dare consapevolezza alla società civile della funzione istituzionale che esse assolvono.
