Aerosim Technologies is to supply a Virtual Maintenance Trainer (VMT) for the Airbus A320, 330 and 340 to the TAECO training centre in Xiamen, NE of Hong Kong. VMT is a simulation-based trainer in which a Virtual Flight Deck (VFD) and a Virtual Aircraft (VA) are combined. Aerosim has also delivered a VMT for the Airbus A320 to the Aeronautical University of Queretaro (UNAQ), NW of Mexico City. It will have programmes for maintenance procedures, component locations, engine run-ups, troubleshooting, fault isolation, and removal & installation of LRUs.
