Controp, an Israel-based company, with a subsidiary in the US, is a leader in the development and production of EO/IR and precision motion control systems for military, para-military and Homeland Security (HLS) markets. Controp offers a wide range of short, medium and long-range camera payloads for air-Iand-and sea applications, which include EO/IR thermal imaging cameras for their surveillance and detection sensors. Controp developed their own thermal imaging camera, which they incorporate in their systems. In addition, the company produces a range of panoramic, automatic scanning camera systems for intruder detection and HLS applications. The company has recently celebrated their 25th anniversary since its founding in 1988 by four original pioneers in the EO/IR industry. The original founders have recently retired from ownership of the company. Controp was recently bought by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Ltd. and Aeronautics Ltd. Dror Sharon is the new President and CEO of Controp.
