Following selection of the AS-COD tracked chassis for the SV (Specialist Vehicles) requirement (see MT 5/10 page 106), the UK Ministry of Defence has nowrnsigned a ￡500 million contract with General Dynamics UK for the demonstration phase of the programme. This phase will see the development of seven prototypesrnfor the Scout reconnaissance vehicle and supporting variants built on the ASCOD SV Common Base Platform, as well as providing associated training equipment.
