Both military history and combat experience tell us that if forces are prepared before a war with the right organisation, equipment and training, they have a tremendous advantage, that can often be leveraged to create a rapid victory. If, instead, the forces are prepared only for the last war, they usually pay for the lack of foresight in the blood of their soldiers and the ruin of their nation.rnForesight is never certain. Since the end of the Cold War the US Army has been involved in trying to determine how to equip its forces so that in the future wars, it never ends up in thern"SHERMAN vs. TIGER" situation again.
