In 2017, Poland signed various small, yet important deals regarding the modernisation of its armed forces. In total, according to official information, €2.4 billion was spent on this purpose (including €1.9 billion on procurement, with the rest devoted to MRO/MLU). The total budget of the MoND was €6.5 billion. 42% of financial resources spent on modernisation was devoted to the air force, 16% to the navy and 22% to the land forces.In 2018, Poland plans to spend €9.9 billion on defence, including €2.5 billion on technical modernisation. It is planned that for this effort, in 2026 Poland will spend €7.5 billion. By 2030, Poland wants to spend 2.5% of its GDP on defence.
