A little bit of cynicism goes a long way, says Roger Evans, who has recently been doing some digging into anaerobic digesters and the financial benefits they could offer British dairy farmers. Someone once told me that I should never believe anything I heard and only half of what I saw. It was originally directed at farming, but it is equally applicable to life itself. It's a maxim that has served me well, it implies that a good degree of cynicism is no bad thing.
