Learning in a classroom, withset practical pieces, works for some people but there are others who pick things up much more readily by actually doing the job. There are also skills that any modern day mechanic's apprenticeship will never cover, particularly when it comes to working on older cars such as thievery cool 1275GT that you see before you. The build of this rally-inspired GT started before Luke French could legally drive. "I was 15 when I got this engine and started buying bits and bobs for it. The engine was actually intended for another Mini but then the GT came along and changed everything. When I started my apprenticeship I started pumping money into the project."
