The Goodwood Revival has become a truly epic event that nearly matches the size of Goodwood's Festival of Speed, but with a very different slant. In 2009, (18-20 September) Goodwood doffed its cap to the Mini in a big way, saluting its 50th birthday in style.rnEvery year the Goodwood Revival has a period theme, with 2009's being the 60s. Dressing in clothes from various past decades seemed to go down well, while those not bothering stuck out like a sore thumb. (Leave the Fl T-shirt at home).rnIf you could make it out of the pre '65 car park and away from the amazing cars in the general parking area, you were met by a stunning display of Minis and derivatives, from a bunch of Works Coopers and track beasts from back in the day, to some recent cars like Carl Austin's twin-engined drag car and several Mini-based kit cars. Somernvery special Minis were there to peruse while downing a cuppa and a bacon sarnie. These cars were then paraded round the track for all to see, with some famous drivers at the wheel, or on the roof!
