Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has made a fresh plea for fiscal devolution for the capital in the wake of the EU referendum result. Mr Khan said the 'genie was out of the bottle now' and London 'deserves more powers'. He continued: 'Evidence in history tells us the closer decisions are taken to the people they impact the better they are - that's why it's important for the Government to give London more powers. 'The good news is other cities around the country - think of Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Glasgow - agree London should have more powers. Why? Because the better we do the more the country prospers.
