摘要

Three 2~3 factorial models were proposed to predict the percentage extract of oxalic acid from the bark of Eucalyptus camaldulensis (E.U.) as a function of three operating parameters. The equations of the two models found to be satisfactory are: First Model: y = 2.022 - 0.434x_1 - 0.411x_2 - 0.423x_3 - 0.342x_1x_2 + 0.338x_1x_3 where x_1 and x_2 are mass and size of the bark of E.U respectively and x_3= time of reaction. Second Model: y = 1 .327 + 0.260x_1 - 0.438x_3 - 0.3 14x_1x_2 where x_1= concentration of sulphuric acid, x_2= time of reaction and x_3= size of bark of E.U. In both equations, y is the percentage extract of oxalic acid. For the first model, mass, time and size were inversely proportional to the percentage extract and for the second model, concentration was directly proportional, while time and size were inversely proportional to the percentage extract of oxalic acid.
