The Guard has added a homeland-response force (HRF) package to its current chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and high-yield explosive (CBRNE) response capabilities, a National Guard Bureau official said last month.rn"This will allow us to save lives and mitigate human suffering as rapidly as possible," said Col. Tim Cathcart, the chief of NGB's joint training and education division.rnThe Guard has 17 CBRNE enhanced-response force packages (CERFPs) across the country available to respond to an incident involving weapons of mass destruction.
