Fapesp has ongoing programs and support mechanisms to attract scientific researchers from overseas. The research positions are in a wide range of projects developed in the Sao Paulo Centers of Excellence. The greatest number of opportunities for foreign scholars to participate in postdoctoral research is in Thematic Projects in which experienced scientists, many of whom are renowned leaders in their field, collaborate for up to six years.
