The Department of Neuropathology of Sainte-Anne Hospital and the Paris-Descartes University (Paris-France) invite applications for a Neuropathologist at the academic rank of Professor for the position of department head. Applicants should have MD/Ph.D. degrees, proven experience or an accreditation in directing research and be fluent in French.rnThe range of activities performed in the department includes the assessment of samples from paediatric and adult neurosurgery including epilepsy surgery, the intra-operative diagnosis of smears, CSF cytology, neuropathology of autopsies including the diagnostic examination of brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves and muscle. Clinical activities include also the study of some muscle biopsies (including enzyme histochemistry, immuno histochemistry and, in some cases electron microscopy) and nerve biopsies from adult patients. Additional clinical responsibilities include neuropathology consultations for a number of hospitals.
