Researchers engaged in European-based neuroscience can now wrap their brains around a stimulating reward-a €1 million-prize, pledged by Grete Lundbeck European Brain Research Foundation. The Prize is intended to raise the visibility of European neuroscience and to stimulate this research field. The foundation hopes that the award and related outreach activities, will serve as a magnet for highly skilled and motivated students from Denmark and abroad and make Europe and Denmark an even more attractive place for neuroscience researchers of any nationality. Finally, the foundation intends the prize to become a beacon for basic as well as clinical neuroscience research, for the benefit of science itself and - not least patients of today and tomorrow.
