High throughput flexible technologies deliver a wide range of genotyping options, from SNP mismatches to the whole sequence level. These tools can greatly increase your genotype knowledge base. To get the most accurate genotype, sequencing is preferable but time consuming and costly with multiple SNPs. 454 Life Sciences'' Genome Sequencer 20 System changes this assumption and gives researchers the capability to generate at least 20 million bases in one five-hour run. By using a picoliter-scale DNA sequencing technology, sequence gets delivered at a reduced per base cost. No complex robotics is needed for colony picking and sample handling because sequencing happens in a massively parallel PicoTiterPlate™ Kit format.
