NEC has developed a new terminal that improves the efficiency of the counter operations of financial institutions. This terminal features a built-in multi-bankbook printer, a desk stand scanner, and an image workflow system. The multi-bankbook printer integrates functions designed to make work faster, including conveying records using a micro-stepping system, turning bankbook pages with friction rollers, and simultaneous printing of multiple records with two printer heads. The desk stand scanner is a non-contact image scanner characterized by easy operation and compact design. In addition, image data scanned by the desk stand scanner can be transmitted to remote systems with the image workflow system.
