There's this way David schwimmer —the hangdog Ross Geller on NBC's hit sitcom "Friends"—looks when he gets bummed. His eyebrows furrow into apostrophes of dismay. The corners of his mouth droop. His face goes long and wan. It's a look that makes women want to stroke his close-cropped hair and hold him tight until he consents to marry them. He's doing it again now. We're in a self-consciously hip Los Angeles coffee bar much like the selfconsciously hip New York coffee bar where the "Friends" gang hangs out. Schwimmer is bumming about the mug of regular java in front of him. He wants one of the bowl-size lattes. "That just looks so much better," he says, wanly.
