摘要

The purpose of using pulp in nonwo-ven spunlaced fabrics is to reduce the cost of materials while maintaining the absorption properties desired by the end user. This article reviews the production criteria, capabilities and format of the machinery arrangement required to optimize production efficiencies. Absorbent fibers in products such as hand wipes and household wipes containing cleaning solutions are used to hold in moisture. The actual fiber type is not as critical as is the ability to absorb and hold moisture, and therefore, the cost of the fiber becomes a driving force in the selection of the fiber type. As with any competitive business, the incremental manufacturing cost per unit is what provides the competitive advantage over rival manufacturers.
