摘要

Today, all-glass telephone booths are entirely taken for granted. When the all-glass telephone booth first appeared in Japan in 1969, it was an epochal development that completely swept away the many problems of the initial steel booth, the debut of which 15 years earlier was said to have banished the tinges of the postwar period. The latter booth was popularly referred to as the "red-crested booth" because its cream-colored body was covered with a red roof.
