Packaging tooling firm R&D Integrated Solutions in Plastics has opened a 'product solutions lab' at its Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire site.rnAccording to R&D managing director Alan Tolley, the new facility will offer a "full service from concept to tooling and manufacturing".rnR&D has invested £350,000 in a Nissei ASB 70 DPH single-stage tooling machine for the service, which Tolley said would enable the firm to offer customers pilot tooling of complex shapes, run off samples for line trials, provide the opportunity to test production tooling, and offer in-house training to both its own staff and customers.
