Macfarlane Group has forecast turnover in excess of ￡l30m for the year, boosted by growth in both its distribution and manufacturing businesses.rnIn a trading update last month, the Glasgow-based firm said acquisitions over the past year and organic growth had led to an increase of 12% in revenue for its packaging distribu-tion arm and 5% in its manufacturing business.rnThat would equate to revenue of around ￡103m in distribution and ￡28m in manufacturing, a total of ￡131m compared to ￡119.7mlastyear.rnMacfarlane's distribution business has been boosted in 2008 by the acquisitions of ￡7m-turnover Allpoint Packaging in October and Online Packaging in January.
