Profits at laminates and foils specialist API Group have grown by 35% in the last year as the business benefited from lower raw material costs and a growth in higher-margin work. In full-year results published last month for the year ending 31 March, the business reported pretax profit of £6.8m, up from £5.1m, on sales that slid 1% to £112.4m. While the group's foils and laminates divisionsposted strong performances for the year, its holographies division swung to a loss of £300,000.
