A rare legal decision concerning an allegedly defective vodka bottle top has brought relief to the drinks industry.In a case at Hamilton Sheriff Court last month, a judge ruled that the makers of own-brand vodka, Morrinov, could not be held responsible for an accident that occurred when a consumer had over-tightened its roll-on-pilfer-proof (ROPP) closure.
