UK households will be able to recycle yoghurt pots for the first time after the official launch, in mid-March, of the country's first mixed plastics recycling facility. The plant, in Redcar, has been built by the Biffa-owned Greenstar WES and is able to process a range of mixed household plastic packaging, such as food trays, margarine tubs and yoghurt pots that previously could not be recycled elsewhere.
