Input cost increases have forced plastic manufacturers BASF and Ineos Nova to put up prices in Europe.rnSwiss company Ineos Nova increased prices for all its polystyrene products by €185 (£161) a tonne last month, more than was initially announced in December, and said the move was "necessary to cover feed-stock increases".rnBASF, meanwhile, has increased the price of its Styrolux polymers in Europe by €150 (£135) per tonne.rnStyrolux is a range of thermoplastic copolymers that are used in transparent food packaging and blister packs, as well as injection-moulded products for cosmetics and other household products.
