摘要

Now Ink is more than color. But ink business is technology considering resources and energy saving and recycle. "Packaging gravure inks" in Japan account for about 30/100 of all printing inks used, which is about 120,000 tons in terms of yearly shipments and the largest ink volume. So printers in Japan require to improve the air quality. Some 30 years have gone by since water-based inks for gravure inks were taken up for research. However the packaging gravure inks mainly use for plastic films, unlike inks for paper, need to pos- sess adaptability for wide applications, which gives many technical problems to resolve and makes progress in market development slow.
