This invention provides a high-density ink for gravure printing that, when gravure printing is carried out using a die cylinder having a very shallow cell, can ensure necessary print density and, at the same time, can realize high-definition gravure printing. The high-density ink for gravure printing comprises a pigment of which not less than 60% is accounted for by particles having a diameter of not less than 0.18 μm and not more than 1 μm, the proportion of the pigment in the solid matter is not less than 10%, and the proportion of the solid matter in the ink is 18% to 50%. In the method for gravure printing, printing is carried out using this ink and a die cylinder having a cell depth of not less than 4 μm and not more than 9 μm. There are also provided a gravure printed matter for publication, a gravure printed package, and an electronic component-related material to which the printing method has been applied.
