摘要

This article will explore the links between the extreme violence that Mexico has experienced between 2006 and 2018 during the war on drugs, growing transnational corporate control over land resources, and growing violations of human rights. About a quarter of a million people have been victims of intentional homicide in the war on drugs (Reyna 2018); almost 200,000 have disappeared in what it is known as "killing without trace or blood," and Mexican people have experienced everyday extortions, kidnapping, and feminicide. Very few Mexicans have not been impacted by this war, directly or indirectly.
