The board of directors of Pipeline Research Council International, (PRCI), elected Christophe Renier, vice president, Gas Assets Programs at France-based GDF SUEZ, as chair for 2013-2015 at its annual meeting recently. He replaces Eric J. Amundsen, vice president, Technical Services for Energy Transfer, who will continue serving on the Executive Committee as past chair. The board elected Phillip DePriest, manager of the Integrity, Damage Prevention & Risk Management department at Marathon Pipe Line LLC, as vice chair. Southcross Energy Partners, L.P. announced that Michael T. Hunter, vice chairman and chief commercial officer of Southcross' general partner, was elected chairman of the Texas Pipeline Association. Comprising 48 member companies, the Association is the largest and only trade association in the country which solely represents the interests of intrastate pipelines.

While quite a number of English-Japanese dictionaries of business and legal terms have been publishedin Japan, there seem to be very few Japanese-English dictionaries on the market which give clear explanations of thesubtle differences in meaning between the various English equivalents of terms in such specialized fields.
