The growth and restructuring of the natural gas market along the eastern coast of the United States is leading Williams Transco into investing $25 billion between 2013-2017, according to vice president and Transco General Manager Frank Ferazzi. Much of that money is slated for projects to increase Transco pipeline's capacity and incorporate new supply sources. Transco is the largest interstate gas pipeline in the country, moving gas from south Texas up the eastern seaboard through Atlanta, the Carolinas, Washington D.C., Pennsylvania and the New York City metropolitan area. At a meeting April 24, Ferazzi told the National Association of Pipe Coating Applicators (NAPCA) that markets are growing all along that length.
