Nova Gas Transmission Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of TransCanada Pipe Lines Ltd., announced plans for two pipelines. The first involves plans to construct and operate four segments of pipeline and related facilities for the proposed Komie North Extension Project. The facilities will be required to receive and transport natural gas from the Horn River area of BC to the Nova Inventory Transfer market on the Alberta System. The new segments would add 166-km to the Alberta System. The section would be built alongside or contiguous to existing right-of-way over a distance of 115 km while the remaining portion of 51 km would require new rights-of-way. If approved the project's in-service date would be April 2014.
