Wehnert, a tall, dark-haired man whose friendly smile and warm handshake is his trademark, works as vice president of sales and marketing for Houston-based HeathrnConsultants Inc. where he has worked for 30 years. The 50-year-old New York state native probably never imagined himself as an expert in leak detection. But that was more than 30 years ago.
