P&GJ: How would you prioritize the challenges facing the pipeline industry in 2008? Wright: First, I hope to continue to advance what I would characterize as an agenda for fair risk-compensation for interstate gas pipelines. Second, among the bigger challenges facing us right now are contractor and labor availability, permitting, land use, and access. One thing I hope to accomplish is to get key legislative and administrative decision-makers educated as to the true risks associated with our business; the need for fair risk-compensation, and for the need to have a balanced approach to enabling us to build out the infrastructure that will be critical in addressing the shifting supply situation that this country is witnessing.
