Organised by the Brazilian Institute of Non-Destructive Testing and Inspection (Abendi), this year's National Congress of Non-Destructive Testing and Inspection (ConaEnd&Iev) congress will for the first time have the addition of a new self-contained forum on the globally critical issue of flexible riser integrity management (FRIM). Brazil is the largest user of flexible risers in the world, and is therefore the ideal place to hold such a forum. Responsible for hydrocarbon production from the seabed up to platforms or tankers, risers are structures of huge importance in order to maintain the reliable operation of offshore pipelines and platforms, and demand strength, integrity, and safety.
