摘要

The 878-km TAP pipeline will begin at the Turkish-Greek border, at Kipoi, and cross Albania and the Adriatic Sea, before coming ashore in Southern Italy. The project is aimed at enhancing both the security and the diversification of gas supplies for the European markets. The pipeline will have an initial capacity of 10 Bcm/a of gas with the possibility of increasing capacity to 20 Bcm/a. The offshore pipeline will have a diameter of 36-inches, while the onshore pipeline diameter will be 48-inches. TAP's routing will facilitate gas supply to several European countries, including Bulgaria, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Croatia and others. With first gas sales to Georgia and Turkey targeted for late 2018, first deliveries to Europe will follow approximately a year later.
