My husband, a former air traffic controller, was reading Plane & Pilot and came across Erik Lindbergh's guest column [October 2010]. I'm the nurse who took care of Erik's famous grandfather, Colonel Lindbergh, in 1947. What a thrill that was! I even treasure his autograph. Erik sent me a note of thanks for taking care of him; 1 have that too. I'm sure his grandfather would be very proud of him regarding the power of electric flight. I am now 86 years old and have since remarried. I was cleaning out my magazines and ran across the two "Lessons Learned" articles written by Patty Wagstaff [September and October 2010]. Both great articles. Not sure how I missed them the first time. I saw her at Sun 'n Fun last year but didn't take the time to stop and talk with her. I won't make that mistake again.
