Ql want to ask you about a maneuver you performed at the Charleston air show that usually takes place in early to mid-April ar. You performed an aileron roll, and at the same time, executed a perfectly coordinated turn, so you turned and rolled at the same time. The funny thing is that I have a degree in aeronautical engineering, and this maneuver doesn't make sense. What I am used to is that when a pilot wants to execute a turn, he or she has aileron deflection, and then based on bank angle and airspeed, it determines the rate of the turn and the turn radius. If you're executing an aileron roll at the same time as the turn, then bank angle seemingly goes out the window for that turn. How do you do a turn while doing an aileron roll? Do you control the turn rate with P-factor or rudder? Would you be able to do this turn to the left or the right? 1 want to let you know that your shows really do add a feminine touch to any air show. I feel like I am watching a ballet in the sky, rather than a gun battle, when watching you perform.
