Let's face it, $150 hamburgers can only go so far in scratching the itch for excitement. After a while, the sameness sets in and you can't help but ask, "Is this all there is?" We need a change of pace. We need a little adventure in our lives. Before we go looking for it, however, we have to decide exactly how much adventure we're talking about, what flavors it comes in and where to get it.rnWithin the hallowed halls of aviating, we're literally surrounded by adventure.rnThere are dozens of ways to find adventure, and most of them require specialized hardware (read that as "adventure airplanes") to get the job done. That being the case, this discussion could easily fill a book, but we're going to shorten it by homing in on a couple of adventure-laden types of flying that are close to our own editorial hearts-backcountry flying and aerobatics-and discuss some of the new-production airplanes available to support those adventures.
